No Beef. Its adware not spyware and Plun knows his
stuff.I first read from yahoo search and from preferences
on top of the radar. And Norton Antivirus has it as
adware dont seem critical. Norton asks if you want to
exclude or cancel after scanning i always cancel in my
fair choosing. The diference is more like commercial
quackery like always. you could go to add-remove and
uninstall it from there.Lastly here are the details:Name
of file Weatherbug,Publisher AWS Convergence Technologies
Inc. File version 6.4.0.9 copyright 2001-2004 Hope this
soothings the anxities. Good luck..Puerto Rico Hurricane
ally... Byway go to Advance Tools and in Running
Processes you will see it there. And start programs.Sorry
i hope you didn't go to sleep.

Microsoft Corp.'s newly released anti-spyware is flagging a component of AWS
Convergence Technologies' WeatherBug application as a threat to Windows
users, prompting an immediate complaint from the Gaithersburg, Md.-based
company.
WeatherBug, which ships with America Online Inc.'s instant messaging
application, fetches temperature and weather-related content for users, but
because it tracks a user's geographic location to personalize the data,
Microsoft's spyware application is classifying it as a potential privacy
risk.

Hi Herman,

WxBug is truly Adware, and they admit to it. If one can stand the ads, good
luck to them.
In order to get wither WxBug or the ads, one has to agree. It's not shoved
down anyone's throat.

I hate malware with a passion. I have to work with it every day on
*someone's* computer. But I'm afraid I have to admit that I rather like
Weatherbug. I run it on my own computer. But I'm running the paid version
and none of my anti spyware/adware apps (including MAS) flag any of its
files. A year or so ago AdAware would flag them, but I think they backed
off on Weatherbug after enough of us whined about it.
