Want to insert multiple pictures and then crop individual pictures

I use PowerPoint 2003 and frequently need to create presentations from
screenshots. I use SnagIt to create several screenshots. When I have used
PowerPoint's Insert, Picture, New Photo Album I am *not* able to crop the
pictures in the slides.
Is there a workaround?

Hi Alex

The photo album feature adds autoshapes with a picture fill rather than
genuine pictures (in 2007 this was changed so it now adds true pictures.
Woohoo!) which is why you can't crop. Shyam has an Image Importer Wizard
(http://skp.mvps.org/iiw.htm) but I'm not sure if that still imports as
picture fills rather than pictures - there is a free trial so you could find
out.

Other than upgrading to 2007 I'm not sure what to recommend, except for
cropping before you insert (you can crop in Picture Manager).

Thanks Steve, I forgot there was code on that page. BTW can you update the
bit about photoalbum to reflect the change made in 2007 (i.e. that it does
now import an actual picture, not fill an autoshape)?
