VPN - Printing from VPN server on VPN client shared printer

R

Robert

Hi you all.

I have this scenario:
- PC1 Windows XP Pro acting as VPN server. Workgroup name is WORKGROUP.
TCP/IP VPN address is 192.168.0.95
- PC2 Windows XP Pro acting as VPN client sharing one printer. Workgroup
name is WORKGROUP. TCP/IP VPN address is 192.168.0.96

Well:
I need to mount the client shared printer on the VPN server.

So, I start the VPN connection and it does begin the first issue:
- from the server, if you click on Browse/Show the Workgroup Computers, the
client is NOT shown.

and so, to overcome this, I must goto start menu and form the Run... field I
must enter \\192.168.0.96.

Doing like that, the prompt for user and password is show.

Loggin-in the client I finally see the shared directories and printers...
but something strange happen

From now on, to be sharp, I need some images support and so I published a
PDF file with the rest of the description.
Please follow it here http://corsari.altervista.org/download/vpn_issue.pdf

And thank you for any answer ... if any.

Regards

Robert
