Volume C: down to 2MB! How do I extend the volume?

I have clicked every page, and I think I found my answer.
However, my situation seems to be different.

I have a Gateway server with Win2K Server. I have two
IBM 9GB SCSI U160 drives with one drive partitioned as two
dynamic volumes in a C: 2GB and a D: 7GB setup(I have no
idea if this was an upgrade from basic or not. Is there a
way to figure this out?). Both partitions are mirrored to
the second IBM SCSI drive. My C: system partition is down
to 2MB of drive space. I can delete the D: partition to
free up 7GB. I want to take only 3GB to add to the C:
system volume, and recreate the D: partion with the left
over drive space to get a C: 5GB to D: 4GB setup. I will
have to break the mirror to then delete the D: volume to
get the free space, correct? I plan on just disconnecting
the power from drive ID1 to make sure I will have a good
backup, along with my tape backup that I already have.
I have read that diskpart.exe might do the trick, but
not recommended. What are the problems that could occur
from extending the system volume using diskpart.exe? Also,
since I do not have disk space on the C: I don't have much
options to use third party software, i.e. PM, VM, Ghost
which are the three exact softwares I thought of using
before I searched this newsgroup. However, I did call
PowerQuest and spoke with their tech group and they told
me that their software wont do what I am wanting to do,
while for the most part it is because I don't have space
to install, they say that they do not support dynamic
volumes. I have seen Leon, Daniel Chang, and Jetro give
good advice, but could either one of you or anyone else
clarify this for me? I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks
in advance!
