Vista x64 RTM & nVidia GeForce graphics cards

I had a BSOD after switching primary monitors in a dual monitor
configuration just after installation of build 6000 but the change in
setting took on reboot and I have not had other issues. This same thing
happened with RC1 and RC2. I assumed it was the nVidia driver too. I use
the 6800GT card.

I'm still getting it occasionally with the native RC1 drivers, but not
nearly as often as with the Microsoft RTM drivers.

I can only assume that nVidia are working on an RTM update - nothing on
their site, though...

I wouldn't use the RC2 driver in rtm. I would use the rtm supplied driver
and wait for nVidia to finish.

Don't have any choice - the RTM supplied driver BSODs constantly...

Thanks - I'll give them a try. Slightly suspicious that these aren't
available on the nVidia site, though...

In fact, they are the same drivers as found in the 96.85 bundle on the
nVidia site...

I have Vista x64 RTM installed using Nvidia 96.85 drivers... And I am still
getting the BSOD referencing nvlddmkm.sys... It happens almost all the times
the computer sleeps and tries to wake up.

There's also a set of 97.27 and 97.34 for both x86 and x64 at Guru3D.
Improved performance and a couple of options in the control panel.

Do you also get the annoying screen corruption i.e. streaky white lines
across the bottom third...?
