virus infection

i have norton 2002
the file windows/system32/webprint/exe
was infected but i can not gain access to earse it
how do i do it please

i tried what the online help of norton said but it did

You should first upgrade your virus protection by buying
the upgrade, run the setup program, reboot and update
your dat files then scan your system to ensure your
system is clean from viruses. If this does not work ...
reformat your drive and re-install the OS and all your
apps. It's not a fun process, but it appears you allowed
this to happen by not keeping your protection updated.
