Virtual Memory allocation problem

Edgar

Hi,

I'm having a problem setting the virtual memory, I set a
1024MB on my drive C and 2560 in my drive D for the
total of 3584MB, but when I check the total paging size,
it only display the size that I set in drive C which is
1024MB. how can I make it see the size that I allocated in
drive D.

thanks in advance
Edgar

Hi Dave,

I use the administrator account when I set the virtual
memory, I think the administrator account has a full
control of drive D. Is there something that I haven't
done, my setup is Win2k with TSE active.

Make sure the system account (nt authority) has full control of D:\

The account you logon with has nothing to do with it. The system account (nt
authority) is the operating system's account and needs to have full control
of the drive(s) the pagefile exists on.

Hi Dave,

I check the permission, and I found the SYSTEM account was
granted a full permission, do I have to change mode before
setting the virtual memory.

No, that should be correct. Where are you checking? After restart is it gone
from Control Panel|System|Performance|Change
