Hi,

I have inserted a video clip to a powerpoint project.
When double clicked on, the audio plays, but I get the
error message "video not available vids:dvsd decompressor
not found" -or something to that effect. I have searched
for solutions on various websites, but have had not much
luck.

Any suggestions?

Thanks much,

Rob Hennigar

Check that you have the right CODEC loaded for the video
you are playing. If you have the ability to recompress
the clip into a microsoft supported CODEC you will reduce
or eliminate this sort of problem.

thanks for the information...but, I believe the problem
is the correct codec is not installed. I have been led to
a site called "codeccorner.com" which has a bunch of
codec's available, which one is it that I need for avi
files in powerpoint? Any ideas?

If you have time, and are interested, once at the site,
click on the AVI link to see all of the available
choices.

Your help is appreciated, in advance.

Rob
