Very Slow Remote Connection When Other Users are logged in

Hello,

I have Windows XP PRO installed on my machine and I also have
boardband connection. I haven't used remote desktop connection on my
computer for a while. Last time I tried it, it worked just fine. Last
week I tried to log on my computer from work (I was already logged on
at home) and after connecting to my computer and logging on, the
remote computer screen (at home) shows me my wallpaper and then loads
the desktop very very slow. It's like hanging up or something. Also,
when I got home, I found the computer running vey very slow that I had
to turn the power off. I tried to do this again and the computer
almost freezed up and taook for ever to load the desktop. However, I
also tried to keep my computer at home at the logon screen (welcome
screen with no users logged on), and then tried to remote connect to
it, and it worked just fine. So I guess the problem happens when there
a logged on user.
Does anybody know why the computer takes for ever to load the desktop
when there are other users logg on?
By the way, my windows is uptodate and switching between users
(Windows Key + L) works very fast without any problems.

Yes, I'm logging in as the same user at the host computer.
This problem never happened to me before even when I logged in as the
same user in the past. But now what happens is the computer coonects
to my computer at home and prompt me right away to log in, and after I
do that, it display my wallpaper and then takes for ever to load the
desktop and the mouse pointer stays as the hour glass.

OK, the next step is seeing what has been installed on the computer
since it last worked properly... It is not unheard of for a security
patch to cause such issues....
