Using SUS with Windows XP Embedded Service Pack 2

Discussion in 'Windows XP Embedded' started by Daniel Simpson \(MS\), Dec 1, 2004.

  1. Hi Everyone,

With the launch of Windows XP Embedded SP2 today I wanted to point out that
the Microsoft SUS (Software Update Services) servicing strategy is now
    supported for XPE SP2.

Due to licensing restrictions, we were not able to include instructions on
using SUS in the product documentation.

However, we were able to add the content in a technical article. The
article "Using SUS with Windows XP Embedded with Service Pack 2" is
    available on MSDN:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/e...UsingSUSWithWindowsXPEmbeddedServicePack2.asp

For more information on SUS, you can refer to these SUS-specific
    whitepapers/webpages:
    SUS Homepage:
    http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserversystem/sus/default.mspx
    SUS Overview:
    http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserversystem/sus/susoverview.mspx
    SUS Deployment:
    http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserversystem/sus/susdeployment.mspx

If you have questions, comments, or concerns, please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Dan Simpson
