Using Outlook and Outlook Express on the same computer

I need help. I tried to set up outlook express on the same computer where I
use Outlook, and even though I was unsuccessful with outlook express, somehow
Outlook got messed up in the process and I could no longer send or receive
mail as my POP3 settings went out of whack and I had to delete all of my
accounts and re-install them. What a pain. Is there some rule against using
Outlook and Outlook Express on the same computer? I am correct that you can
only have one indentity in Outlook, but several in Outlook Express? Thanks

there should be no problem using both on the same computer put when you have
set one up and start to set the other up make sure that you say no to the
questions that asks if you want to transfer settings from the other email
client and also say no to the question do you want to make this client your
default email client.

I started using Express but then loaded Outlook. In my case I wanted Outlook
to be my default and I wanted all the emails transfered but I had to reset
all the accounts in outlook and I deleted them all in Express except of
course the newsgroups which are still on Express. I now use both programs
along side each other with no problems.

Hope that helps a bit.
