I have Windows XP Professional connecting to a NT 4
Domain. After I installed couple small database software,
the Domain users can not run the applications. I found
that they do not have permission (Write privilege) on the
C: drive and its sub folders. When I gave the Write
Permission to entire C: drive or the folder that database
software located, the Domain users run the application
successful. Is there any way I can configure this in
GPEDIT.MSC?

Are you sure they need access to whole C drive not just system %temp%
directory?

If you need to allow your users to access this resource, e.g. create new
group called e.g. "DatabaseAccess" and assign this group appropriate
permissions to the C drive on the server where your database is. Then add
all the users that need access to the database in this new group.

You could also check out some built in groups like "Authenticated Users" or
"Domain Users" and maybe try and use them...
