Get an error message stating that HID- compliant consumer
control device has a problem stating that the data is
invalid. Please advise. Is there a file or patch or
driver I need to re-install???

Are you using the latest Windows XP driver from the manufacturer?
Have you contacted the manufacturer or checked their website?
