USB Flash Keys-blue-screen and NO MORE IRP STACK Locations

Every time- not isolated to certain brands, and even when manufacturers
drivers are installed Im getting NO MORE IRP STACK LOCATIONS and blue screen
crash. Sometimes the manuf. drivers works (As does re-mapping the drive to
force to letter M: for example) but not always, and not for long- Could
someone provide a clear, concise fix for this? Running XP on Netware 6.5,
multiple clients and all PCs are XP with SP1 or SP2- some USB1 some USB 2.0-
And why Oh WHY is it so difficult to find anything remotely close in the
Knowledge Base?
Many thanks,
Mike F.

Mike,

Do you run Symantec Ghost Client 8.0? We run Windows XP SP2 wit
Netware client 4.91 and had the same issue with a Kingston flash driv
on multiple machines. Even replaced the flash drive; same issue
Kingston told me this was very unusual. Began uninstalling "uncommon
software. Finally found that uninstalling Symantec Ghost Corporat
Client 8.0 resolved the issue. Reinstalled Ghost client and got th
blue screen NO MORE IRP STACK LOCATIONS again. Uninstalled Ghost clien
a second time, restarted and sure enough, no more trouble with the flas
drive

Hey Bill- thanks, but no- we're not runnning Ghost 8.0- I have approx 85-100
users and these are all on new Dell Optiplexs or Dimension 3 or 4000 series.
All are running McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 7.1.0- I've also seen this happen
with Sony external Sony DVD DRX-710UL drives on brand-new Dells, as well as
a few other devices (digital cameras and scanners)- the ONLY flash drive that
doesn't (yet) seem to have problems are iOmega 512MB- you may want to try
those...any other thoughts?
many thanks,
Mike Faucher
