Hi

This is really wiered. I am running win2000 since a long time ago. I
also have speakers named Altec Lansing, which also have been working
for a long time. Suddenly they wasn't working and I did of course
belive that a connector was out some where, but no.

Since I use this PC for labbing and testing etc I belive that I might
have removed something that I shouldn't have, but sure don't know
what.

I have tried to update drivers, reinstalled win2000, checked
connections, uninstalled and reinstalled USB Audio Device, read help
and faq's but I'm stuck ;-(

I ran tests with DriverX Diagnostic tool, then I got: DirectSound test
results: Failure at step 19 (User verification of software): HRESULT =
0x00000000 (error code).

Then I tried decide that the problem accually was the speakers, so I
played a CD and used the headphonees, nor did that work!!!!

The only thing I can think of is that I by accident installed a
program that I can record with, like if I hade a microphine, which I
don't. But I don't know what program that was nor do I know if any
drivers were added or removed.

Perhaps ,hopefully, someone have an idea what is wrong.

thank's in advance
Michelle
