USB 1.1 cable with USB 2.0 device-Will it work at the higher speed?

I have a few extra USB 1.1 cables Lying around I'd like to use with
the newer USB 2.0 devices which did not come with a cable. Will the
1.1 cable transfer data at the higher 2.0 speeds?

No difference in the actual cable. Should work fine.

USB2 cables are exactly same as USB1 cables but better quality.
Using low quality cables with USB2 devices can produce all kinds of strange problems, so use
only cables certified for USB2 (carrying the USB Hi-speed logo). Of course they cost more.
Unfortunately there is no easy way to test USB cables.
