Urgent help needed! Media Player will not open

Hello
Can anyone help me?
When I try to open Windows Media Player, all I get is an
error box saying "An internal application error has
occurred"
It worked fine a couple of days ago! Does anyone know why
this has happened and what I can do to fix it?
I don't have any other player installed on the system to
conflict with WMP

Hi

Well I "urgently" helped myself! I figured that the only
thing that had changed on the system was the installation
of the WindowsXP Q828026 Windows media player hotfix
(done automatically) so I just used system restore to go
back to just before it was installed and....hey presto!
as if by magic WMP is working again. Aren't these
hotfixes supposed to make things better and more secure??
Well, I guess it doesn't get any more secure than not
being able to open it!

Hi Denise,
All I can suggest is to de-install Media
player, reboot and re-install. Hope it works; please let
me know.
