Upgraded PC, now MM2 will NOT allow SAVING MOVIE

Firstly I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Papa
John for all his great work and input in this newsgroup
and indeed his site. Totally invaluable.

My problem, i've been using MM2 effectively since it first
launched. My previous PC Spec was

P4 1400mhz
MMX Gef0rce 4
256 meg ram
2 HDD 180 & 60gig

Made loads of films and never had a problem (that I
couldn't resolve)

Since upgraded to a new Motherboard
P4 2600mhz
1 gig DDR Ram
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 256meg

MM2 just will not allow me to save as per

I'm totally stuffed now.

Anyone got any solutions, as i've tried all the ones in
the above link. No luck

Any one got a work thru, the clock is ticking and I really
need to get MM2 working again.. just like the good old
days.

I got the same. used to work perfectly. What has been the
mechanism why sdo many existing mm2 users sudenly
encounter this problem? is it due to a windows uipdate?
any one any idea?
