QuickTime Alternative & Real Alternative

QuickTime Alternative will allow you to play QuickTime files (.mov, .qt and
other extensions) without having to install the official QuickTime Player.
It also supports QuickTime content that is embedded in webpages.

Real Alternative will allow you to play RealMedia files without having to
install RealPlayer.
All RealMedia formats (.ra .rm .rmvb .ram .rpm .rv .rp .rt .smi .smil etc.)
are supported, including streaming content and RealMedia content that is
embedded in webpages.

But these are not programs: they're sets of Codec files. We still need a
player, don't we? (We've sure batted this one around lately! CoMa: are
you there????) The Codec files "...will allow you to play QuickTime
files,..." but they won't _play_ them.

We know that Media Player Classic works with these file sets. And
JetAudio, too. Are there any other media players that'll work with these
Codec files?

Probably about any of 'em. I just played a mov file with Wimp 6.4 and 9,
crystal, Irfanview, and zoom players. This is with XP home and QA 1.41.
