update not fix orientation problem

i have installed the relevant updates from microsoft & turned off autoname correct. still cannot change page orientation. any more suggestions?

if i program instructions through vis.bas. won't i get the same results that i do now -- it eventually uses the same module, does it not?

HELP!

Your post is very unclear.

1.) Is the problem that you can not change the orientation for a report or
that the orientation that you set does not "stay" changed.

2.) Regarding setting orientation and page set up through VB it will change
the report's set up. However, that said, Access has always, since version
2.x had an issue that if the user previews the report and while in preview
selects to output the report to a new printer other than the original
printer, that the report's orientation and page set up will change to the
target printer's default orientation and paper size. That is why it is
usually recommended that a.) always set the report to use the default
printer, b.) have two buttons on your form to launch the report one for
preview and a separate one for printing, so that you can control the printer
selection process. If the report is not previewed when the new printer is
selected, the orientation and paper size normally will NOT change to the
target printer's default settings retaining your specific settings.
