unwanted sound disruption (sound samples)?!!

i keep getting sound interuptions at no particular time and at any time (it seems) and voices, how can i stop it!

sounds like

"youve got company"

a yelling noise

etc

funny at first but very irritating now

can someone anyone put me out my misery

Goto Control Panel --> Sounds and Audio Devices --> Sounds Tab and select
"No Sounds" in the Sound Scheme drop-down box.
