Undefined function 'Left' in expression

After upgrading to Windows 2000 from 98, I got the
following error message:

"Undefined function 'Left' in expression" when trying to
run a query and a form that relies on that expression.
This query and form work fine on all the other systems on
the network, except for on the one I upgraded.

Suggestions?

Often when databases don't work on one particular machine, it's because
of a broken or missing reference, and your recent upgrade makes that
seem a likely explanation. See if the steps outlined here help:
