Unattend installation of Windows2000 professional

S

Sekhar

I run the setupmgr to create answer file and copied
unattend.bat and unattend.txt files to a floppy. I renamed
the unattend.txt file to winnt.sif then I booted system
with DOS bootable floppy. Then I inserted Answer files
floppy and 2000 Pro cd into cd-rom. I run the unattend.bat
file then the installation process was going on. After the
completing of files coping phase it was restarted. After
the restart in GUI phase it is asking for the entries and
licence agreement as general installation. How can I
perform unattend installation of windows2000 pro. in
single machine? Pls. help me in this issue.

Hello,

create an ProduceID="xxx-xxxx" entry in the UserData
heading of your winnt.sif file. This should take of
things.

Also have a look at the text file this included as part of
your Windows 2000 Pro CD and lists all the keys.

hope this helps
