UNANSWERED: new offline folders don't sync in workgroup environment

Tim Mackey

hi. i had no luck with this message on windowsxp.network_web so i'm reposting there and to windowsxp.general.

my problem is when i create a new folder inside an offline folder, it is not made available offline automatically to other clients who have that folder available offline. it's a real pain that this option isn't there by default. i have to remember which new folders have been added and make them available offline one by one.

i'm using xp pro, sp2, the offline folder is on .net server 2003 if that's of any interest. but it is a workgroup setup.

richy described this problem on network_web on oct 4th 2004, but his solution doesn't seem to apply to a workgroup environment.

thank you
tim mackey.

hi Kelly,
many thanks for the reply. i did search google for about an hour before
posting and i didn't find anything matching my situation. the results in
the link you gave come up for novell, exchange / outlook, or my own
previously unanswered posts on this topic ;)

i'd be very grateful if you could point me to an actual resource, unless the
answer is staring at me somehow in which case please enlighten me!

thanks
tim
