Unable to run Defrag in Windows 2000 Prof.

I am constantly getting dfrgntfs.exe errors when I start
the defragmentation program. Shortly after, I also get a
mmc.exe problem. I would appreciate if someone could give
me a solution to this problem.

I would also suggest that you run a CHKDSK /F /R on the drive (may require a
reboot to perform) to ensure that there are no file system inconsistencies.
