Unable to publish printers to AD from other server than Domain Controllers

Eric K.

Hello,

I'm actually unable to have any printers published in my AD. In fact I
cannot have printers published from other servers than Domain Controllers.

I checked the GPO, which are set to the default for the printers.

Of course, when I try to publish printers I'm doing it with an account that
is Domain Admin.

Have someone any idea??

Thanks

Make sure you selected the "publish this printer in AD" option in printer
properties. Restart the "print spooler" service.

Hello Santhosh,

Thank for your answer but I finally found why I wasn't able to publish
printers in the Active Directory for few servers. The think is that the
security settings of the objects servers of the machines have changed. The
following was missing in order to make the publishing possible:

The "SELF" account need to be present in the security settings with the
following "create the child objects" and "Delete the child objects".

Without those the server is unable to publish the printer in the active
directory.

Anyway thank you.

Best Regards.

This does not apply to virtual servers in a cluster which themselves do not appear in AD.
If you know how send the info through, I have done the normal, tick the publish in Ad box, still nothing.
