Unable to open MS Outlook (Error Signature)

Not sure how I got this error message, as I didn't
install anything but Plaxo (last night). This morning
when I attempted to open MS Outlook 2000, I received the
message that reads:
Microsoft Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to
close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

The details read as follows:

AppName: outlook.exe AppVer: 9.0.0.6604
ModName: ntdll.dll ModVer: 5.1.2600.114 Offset:
00007d0c

I then uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook 2000 as well
as Office 2000 Professional. I then cleaned the registry
and still to no avail, am I able to access MS Outlook.
Any ideas?

try renaming outcmd.dat to .old and restart Outlook. All the Toolbars
will reset then. This is quite a common probem with Outlook . The default
location for this file is:
C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook

Hope this helps!
