Unable to automatically click email hyperlink and start a new message

If you are on a web page that has a " reply to " email hyperlink... when clicking on this link ..outlook should open with a new message box available with the email hyperlink in the "To" line..

I have outlook 2000 and all that happens is when clicking on email hyperlink outlook just opens..

Somewhere there is switch to force outlook to open a new message box with email address addded to the " TO' lin

Anyone know how to do this??

A mailto: URL should do that. What is the actual URL for the hyperlink you're trying to use?
