Hi there!
I have been trying to get a USB 2.0 pci card to work on my system, based on an Asus a7m266 mobo. I am running Xp sp2 and have been working on this for almost a week... I have installed and uninstalled the drivers, with the pci card on and off, in every possible combination. I bought the Trust pci card because of the NEC chipset, but it's giving me lots of headaches.
The drivers are *apparently* installed (they appear in the device manager), but devices connected to any of the ports are initialized and inmediately turned off... I have tried it in different slots, with no result... could it be a problem with my mobo? does it support 2.0 (I haven't been able to find that in the manual, and the mobo itself is quite old, from '01... but still, if the card is on a pci slot it should work, shouldn't it?)
Any help would be most greatly appreciated. Thanks!
