TreeView icons missing in Windows Explorer

Patrick

I just reinstalled a clean Windows XP Pro and upgraded it.

I don't have the icons in the Windows Explorer's TreeView
(folders).
I tried to remove the IconCache.db...

Nothing does it!!!
Help, I want my icons back, please!

Hi Patrick,

Common behavior is XP is not installed on C:\. Workaround:

The Folders Bar in Windows Explorer Does Not Contain Any Icons
US;q307028

Adaptation for the Article: Needs to be a path not a drive letter, so subst
c: [x]:\. Note backslash converts a drive letter to a path. It must point
to a valid folder as in: c: d:\Windows
