Hi... I changed Icon to the harddisks and from that moment if I click on the
icon in the MYCOMPUTER folder I get the error: "the system cannot find the
device specified"

If I write on the explorer "c:/ or d:/..." I do not have any problem...
again if I need to access hard disks from software no problem.

Any suggestion? My OS is XP

Bye
Ale

Hi Ale,

Where exactly did you change it and what path did you give it? Export the
key and post the line here. It should look similar to this:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\
CurrentVersion\Explorer\DriveIcons\C\DefaultIcon

I changed the icon by Tools->FolderOptions->FileTypes->Drive

I immediatly experienced the problem after the chenge of icon
Assigning the old icon do not change the problem
I supposed was a problem of Actions (n edit file type)... but I do not how
to edit these... trying to modify something now I have a diffrent list of
actions but the Remove button is always disabled...
Anyway the problem appeared immidiatly after the change of icon without
touchin actions...

I od not have the key you asked for in my registry :(
