the Spelling checker is not dinding ANY spelling errors in my docu

The Auto Spelling checker is on. - no wavy lines inciating errors. There is a
note to turn wavy lines on in help -how do you do that?
I've not seleted just apar of the document. I'm not using a decorative font,
I've tried checking and rechecking. Spell checking is not working with any
document. - I did not apply the Do not check spelling or Grammar option. I
checked Tools |Language |Set Language option. I checked using the Reveal
formatting option. Their is now hidden text. The text is in upper and lower
case - all of it nonsense words. None of these words are flagged

When you checked the Set Language dialog, did you have all the text
selected?

Thank you for your help. I figured it out. I noticed that if i tried using
the F7 key, I got a message that "Word cannot open the spelling file
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\PROOF\MSSP3EN.LEX" , this
pointed me in the correct direction, that is was a rights issue. Once I gave
the user Read and Read & Execute rights, the problem was solved.
