The specified path does not exist, check path then try again?

I am trying to get a form from DMV. When I press the form it asks if I want to open or save. I choose open and then "specified path does not exist, check the path and they try again" appears. This appears on anything that I try to download. Please help!

I like this one!
Seriously. Hopefully other people will see this.

You are having a "I left my Internet Explorer cache (or set it) TOO LARGE!"
issue.

Do this:

Open ONE copy of Internet Explorer.
Select TOOLS -> Internet Options.
Under the General tab in the "Temporary Internet Files" section, do the
following:
- Click on "Delete Cookies" (click OK)
- Click on "Settings" and change the "Amount of disk space to use:" to
something between 80MB and 120MB - plenty for ANYONE IMHO. Click OK.
(Betting it is MUCH larger right now.)
- Click on "Delete Files" and select to "Delete all offline contents"
(the checkbox) and clcik OK.
(If you had a LOT, this could take 2-10 minutes or more.)

Once it is done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, re-open Internet
Explorer - try your situation again.

Simple, easy, you should not experience the problem again.

Try SAVE instead, then open the saved file in the appropriate program for
displaying the form.

Do you have Acrobat Reader installed? It is a free download from
www.adobe.com. IIRC, the DMV forms are in .pdf format and yes, the
easiest thing to do is choose "save". Save the file somewhere you will
find it, like on your Desktop or in My Documents. Then double-click on
it to open the file. If it *is* a .pdf file, you will need Acrobat
Reader.

Post back if you need more help.
