did you upgrade from outlook 2003? Import a pst from 2003? If so, try a new
profile and connect to the pst as you create the profile.

I did not upgrade this computer came with it. I transferred info from my old
computer. However; that was 7 months ago and everything was fine until last
week. I have tried the creating a new profile thing with no success. I can
receive email. I can run the email test in diagnostics and I get a test
email. I just cannot email. I have tried the new profile thing twice. Are
you telling me three times a charm?

the only way 3rd times a charm is if you didn't do something correctly the
first two times. :) My previous suggestion was based on it never working
correctly, so a 3rd time is probably not going to charm, even if you messed
up the first two times.

Did you try office diagnostics? That should be one of the first steps when
behavior changes suddenly.

Go to the Programs applet in control panel and see what updates were
installed about the time it happened. Updates to firewall and antispam can
causes issues, as could windows or office updates.
