Hello.

I have a Win2000 server, with the latest service pack and it runs as a
Domain Controller. Got my Active Directory up, and everything seems to bee
working fine.

I have a Windwos 2000 Prof. workstation that i would like to joine the
Domain. And when i try to join my domain (domain.com) i get the following
error message.

Network Identification

The following error occurred validating the name "domain.com"
This condition may be caused bye a DNS lookup problem. For information about
troubleshooting common DNS lookup problems, see the following Microsfot web

All computers on the internal network should have a primary DNS set to the
internal DNS server. This is the primary AD server. There should be no
references to any external DNS server except if you want to put a forwarder
in your DNS server settings, NOT in your server TCP/IP network settings.

You can tell what each has by issuing: ipconfig /all
....at a command prompt.

Ex.
c:/>ipconfig /all
