I've started to see email scanner problems since yesterday's update of AVG
7.
Using incredimail and pocomail the scanner has disappeared 3 times so far
and needs to be activated manually.
Elsewhere in this group I mentioned that installation of the email scanner
takes longer than usual.

Hang on to The Bat ; it's a great program!

Thanks for the reply :)

I am not having any trouble with the POP/SMTP e-mail scanner I am
having problems with The Bat! plugin.

What I am thinking of doing is...

Reinstalling AVG but without The Bat! plugin and selecting the e-mail
scanner instead. Before I had both The Bat! plugin and the e-mail
scanner (I know/think the e-mail scanner was only designed for clients
without plugins yes?) and just using the e-mail scanner instead of the
plugin. Technically this should be better as well because of the
[stupid] limitations of The Bat! APIs for plugins!

Please correct me if what I said was incorrect.
