Text box problem in Word 2000

I have created a text box, filled the background with black and the fonts
appear in white. Many times it prints just fine, that is, a black box with
white letters in it. However, this is erratic. I have used the exactly same
procedure but sometimes new boxes print only in black and no white letters.
I am using Windows 98.
Can someone help me? Thanks

Hi

Are you letting Word 'reverse' the font colour (i.e. the font colour
attribute is set to Auto)? Although Word often displays the inverse colour
correctly when the font colour is set to Auto, I have noticed that some
printer drivers fail to use this correctly. It is usually best to select the
text and assign it as white (under Format, Font dialog) rather than rely on
Auto setting.
