Terminal Server/Internet Explorer update

Joe

I have just installed a Terminal Server running in App
mode onto my network. Everything is fine except when I do
the Windows update and choose to update Internet Explorer
from 5.0 to 6 with SP1 I get a box that tells me I need to
be in install mode to continue with the installation. I
am in install mode when I do it though. I go through
Add/Remove programs and choose the Windows Update through
there. No other update gives me a problem except for this
one. Please help.

You cannot use Add/Remove programs to get intop "install mode"
when your are installing from a website. You must put the sewrver
into install mode manually.
Open a command windows, type "change user /install"
Then run Windows Update, and when it is completely finished, but
before you reboot, type "change user / execute" (all commands
without the quotes).
