Terminal Server clients can ONLY print text with printer redirection

Hello, we are having a problem with our terminal server
clients only being able to print text with printer
redirection. If a client prints, say a webpage, nothing
will print. If they print a bmp image in something like
wordpad or word, NOTHING will print. If they print a word
document with text and images, it will print out the text
ONLY. However, if they print the same thing on a network
printer (not a printer connected through printer
redirection) it will work and the image will print. The
clients are using Compaq Evo t30s and I've tried logging
them off TS and printing locally and images print fine so I
have determined that it is not the printer (which are HP
Laserjet 1000's). I haven't made any changed to the
Terminal Server so I don't know what could have changed to
cause this. This has me completely stumped. Does anyone
know what might be causing this?

Do you mean that this has worked before?
That's the amazing part, since it is documented that HP LJ 1000 is
not supported under TS, and there have been numerous reports here
confirming this.

Wow. Yes believe it or not but this DID work before. I
have seen it myself. But now that you mention it I'm
questioning if it were a local printer or a network
printer? So were completely out of luck huh? Thanks for
the info.

The laserjet 1000 could work, when the lpt1 cable is used, and the driver
has been mapped to a "HP LaserJet Series II" driver on the server.

According to your advice, I see the support printer driver. What if the
version i download from HP is a higher than the supported version? I am
using a HP Laserjet 4100 and 2100. The 2100 was redirected successfully but
the 4100 didn't work. The version download from HP is 4.27.4100.441 PCL6 and
the supported version is 4.14.4100.13 PCL. Pls advice whether it would work
or not. Or should i install the PCL driver?
