Templates for Word in Intranet site.

I would like to setup all my Word templates (*.dot) on the intranet, but If
I do, when a user clicks on the link to the file, instead of having Word
open a new document *based* on that template, the actual template opens up.
How do I get Word to open a new document *based* on the template clicked on?

There's nothing you can really do. The template has to be put into their
word templates folder and then they have to create a new document and choose
that template. There's nothing you can put into the HTML link that will
alter that.
