Taskbar tooltip messages being obstructed by the taskbar

D

Dan

Hi,

I have a question. The tooltip messages that appear when I position my
mouse on top of an icon in the taskbar are showing but behind the
taskbar so unless they are big messages, I can usually only see the
top part of the message

I have my taskbar configured to be always on top but it doesnt seem to
fix it.

Any idea why this happen or how to fix it?

Thanks in advance,
Dan

Mine does the same at times..if you right click the taskbar..properties..and
uncheck the always on top..apply..then recheck it then apply it'll be fixed
for a while.

There are cumbersome temporary "fixes" for that known malady. I've
gotten into the habit of hovering above the very top of the icons or
tasks, and that way you can read most of the tool tip.

This is a known problem and there are only "work around" temporary
fixes. MS still has not made a perminate fix yet.

Free (no-catches) fix called ToolTipFixer is available from NeoSmart
Technologies:

It should do exactly what you're looking for.
