Task Manager shows multiple processes named Outlook.exe

Need to close these multiple processes down manually before I can shutdown my
computer

What version of Outlook are we talking about here? Most often this is caused
by add-ins not shutting down correctly their session they create with
Outlook; you should only have one instance of outlook.exe running at any
time.

Disable them and see if you still encounter this issue. If not you know it
is caused by one of these add-ins and you should either check for updates or
contact their support. You might also have a virusscanner integrating with
Outlook that could cause you this issue.

Thank you. I found I had a fax addin which I have now disabled and Outlook
is now working well. Have added your website to favourites found some useful
information and utilities. Thank you very much for your help and prompt
responses to mu queries
