System Restore- Restoration incomplete

Frances

Hi
I am trying to do a system restore and even though there are restoration
points available everytime I try I get Restoration Icomplete and a message
telling me no changes have been made to the system . I have tried several
points going back as far as 10 days but the same thing happens every time is
there anything I can do so I can actually restore back to an earlier date.

Thanks
Frances

System restore points do not restore files on your
system, they restore things like system settings, and
driver information. If none of these have changed, there
is nothing to restore.

System Restore :: In MS's own words .......lol

"The System Restore feature of Windows XP enables you to
restore a PC, in the event of a problem, to a previous
state without losing personal data files. System Restore
actively monitors system file changes to record or store
previous versions before the changes occurred. With System
Restore, you never have to think about taking system
snapshots as it automatically creates easily identifiable
restore points, which allow you to restore the system to a
previous point in time."

So what you are saying all this stuff in The MS
advertising is BS

"enables you to restore a PC, in the event of a problem,"

"to a previous state without losing personal data files."

"With System Restore, you never have to think about taking
system snapshots"
