System panel connectors

If you look at a motherboard, there are several connectors, such as
Power Button, Reset Switch, Power LED, IDE LED, etc.

Occasionally, some require three terminals while most two terminals.

Where do I get replacement parts? Once they are damaged or three
terminals needed instead of two, it is hard to find them locally.
Radio Shacks don't carry them.

You mean the little pins? I believe that they are individually soldered.
You aren't going to change them from (two terminals) to (three terminals)
unless you want to re-run the traces on the mainboard. (yikes) If it's
what I think you are talking about, you've got hundreds of them sitting on
your desk right now. (look inside the stapler, ha ha) -Dave

You mean the connectors on the cables from the panel that connect to the
MB pins? Find an electronics or TV repair place that has components.
I used to get my 50 conductor ribbon cable and connectors there to make
my own cables. I still go by on occasion to get connectors when I'm
making extensions to 3pin fan cables and stuff.

I've been to Radio Shack stores without luck. Do you know of any place
in the Chicago Metro area?

Not unless you want to drive to Texas. Call a small TV repair shop and ask where
they get their parts/components; it isn't Radio Shack. In your area, you should
have no problem finding electronics supply houses/shops.

Thanks for your input anyway.
