System config utility

Upon opening for the first time, I noticed it was on
selective startup with all the boxes checked. Is the
default setting? I clicked on normal start-up and apply
and all is good. I out of curiousity checked the selective
startup with all the load and process boxes checked, re-
booted opened the config and it was back on normal startup
again. Is this all normal?
Thx

Yes. You rarely want to use the "normal" startup because too many
programs are probably starting with Windows. When you use the System
Configuration Utility by running "msconfig", when you next reboot you
are greeted with that dialog box. Just check the little box in the
lower left corner that says in effect, "don't bother me with this" and
all will be well.
