Synchronising personal folders between Outlook and other email acc

I have MS Outlook 2007 (my preferred email client) and have set up a Yahoo
BTinternet account (plus also a hotmail account) to be read in Outlook. My
operating system is Vista.

I would like to synchronise the existing personal folders I have in my Yahoo
account so that they feed through to Outlook automatically, and so that any
updates I make in Outlook are replicated in my Yahoo account, e.g. moving
emails to folders or creating new folders. (This worked straightaway with my
hotmail account). At present I can receive Yahoo emails into my Outlook
inbox, and I can send Yahoo emails via Outlook, but I can't view (in Outlook)
all my personal folders on my Yahoo, and therefore can't see my older emails
which are stored in personal folders.

I've tried the online help and can't see any advice on this. Can anyone
assist ? Would this work if I used a different email client (not Outlook) ?

I don't think there's any software for this but I'll check around.

The quick solution is to not delete messages from the server after they're
downloaded to Outlook but that results in a large mailbox online which
might hit size limits

Fliss,
As far as I know, the Yahoo Mail Accounts are POP3 Mail accts, not HTTP
(HotMail) or IMAP (such as AOL). OUTLOOK can only download messages from the
Inbox in these accounts. It will not create a folder directory for other
folders in the Yahoo mail acct, as HotMail or any IMAP mail accts would do.
You also can not "upload" messages back onto the mail server, by placing
copies of the messages from other folders in OUTLOOK.

There are third party programs will that will download messages from user
created folders in the webmail interface, but will deliver them to the Inbox
in OUTLOOK. You will need to create message rules and additional folders in
OUTLOOK to manage these messages.
!YPOPS (formerly known as YahooPops) is one such Program:
