switch songs in powerpoint

I am trying to switch songs during my power point. I use Microsoft office XP.
I use sound from file. The first song plays very well through slide 35 then
on slide 36 I do the same process that I did to set up the first. I put start
from beginning and last through slide 90. On slide 36 it starts like it
should then on slide 37 it starts again. What am I doing wrong. I just want
it to play across the slides not start over and over. Please help me!
