Stupid Desktop Icons

I am using some themes I have created or found. I have noticed that when
I apply a theme that is using some custom icons for My Computer, My
Docs, etc., every so often the desktop icons will flash and return to
the default Windows XP icons (bleh!). It appears that when a theme is
applied, it changes the registry keys under CurrentUser instead of
LocalMachine (by design I'm guessing). Anybody got any clues as to why
this is happening?

It's caused by your video driver (nVidia card?) as identified by David

Cool! Thanks! I think that worked. Now, how do I get my desktop icons to
stop flashing every so often?

Not sure what's causing this, perhaps the video card driver?
