strange behaviour

hello groups,

had anybody already had the problem, that the system is working properly
for about 2 weeks, and then random crashes occur for lets say 4 days?

i already tried 2 oses, linux and xp, and both systems behave in this
manner.

i am thinking of the graphix board, as linux is restarting its x/server.
xp is stopping with a blue screen error. these differ from event to event.

has anybody got any hints?

cheers

Make sure you have ECC memory, and enable it in the bios. Only
then can you eliminate memory problems.

Since the same symptoms occur with two different operating systems I think
it may be RAM related. Download, decompress and run Memtest from a floppy.
www.memtest86.com If you're overclocking, reset the BIOS to defaults before
testing.
