Stop Error 0x0000000A when booting to safe mode

I have been having some USB problems recently, so i tried to boot into safe
mode to fully clear any drivers and reinstall from scratch. However, when i
try and boot into safemode iget a stop error 0x0000000A, which says something
like IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and mentions ntoskrnl.exe. My pc boots perfectly
when booting normally. It's a bit worrying that safemode is screwed. Any
ideas?

I am running Win2k SP4 fully updated, 2x512 sticks of ram, ata100 ide hdd's
if that matters.

Stop errors can occur because of many reasons, like corrupt drivers, bad
hardware software settings and it is same for Stop 0xA. To find out what is
causing the problem you have to get memory dumps and analyze it to find out
which is causing t he problem.
Also to analyze this you need to check your event logs and then search for
the solution as per the errors.

In your case it seems to be USB drivers for printer and scanners, but to
make it sure need more information about the hardware and softwares on the
computer.

Best regards
